Journey Concert @ Sleeptrain Ampitheater (Sept. 26, 2008) : I had an awesome time in this concert. Neal Schon rocks! The whole band!!! I wished I could have brought my canon camera and zoom, but they don't allow it, so I settled for an old Kodak. Cheap Trick was good, Heart was great, and of course Arnel did a great job. He sounded really tired on some songs, but overall, it was an awesome performance and excellent showmanship. Arnel's voice is not totally a Steve Perry sound-alike. His voice is thick and with a different resonance that I think makes a big difference. Arnel also acknowledged the filipino audience in our own language, so that was cool. Nowadays, when it's a ballad song, the audience wave the cell phone light instead of a candle or lighter. Sign of the times. I also videotaped this concert through my cellphone.
